Ronald S. LaButti, DO, FAOAO

Dr. Ronald S. LaButti earned his undergraduate degree from Providence College in 1987 and attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing an internship at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University, Dr. LaButti completed his residency at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1999.

Following his residency, Dr. LaButti also completed a one-year fellowship in lower extremity and joint reconstruction with Kenneth Krackow, MD at Buffalo General Hospital/State University of New York School of Medicine at Buffalo in 2000.

Dr. LaButti is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedics for the Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine and has over 25 years of experience with computer assisted and robotic knee replacement surgery. 

His sub-specialty/interests are reconstructive procedures of the hip and knee including, hip replacement and computer assisted robotic knee replacement. Dr. LaButti has performed thousands of computer assisted and robotic total knee replacements. 

Dr. LaButti, with the patient’s input, developes an individual treatment plan for every patient based on the their diagnosis as well as their specific needs. The patient is involved in every step of decision making on their treatment.  Dr. LaButti understands that it is ultimately the patient’s decision of how to proceed with their care.

Dr. LaButti was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Oklahoma State Medical Association (2009-2011) and member of the Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation (2011-2013).

He is certified by The American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics(AOAO), the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons(AAOS), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons(AAHKS), the Oklahoma State Medical Association(OSMA) and the prestigious Psi Sigma Alpha – National Osteopathic Honor Society.

Dr. LaButti, his wife Robin, and their daughter Sophia, reside in mid-town Tulsa with their Yorkie, Coco and Havapoo, Teddy.

Dr. LaButti is a wine and music enthusiast, enjoys gardening, target sports and spending time with his family.
