Scott E. Plaster, MD

Scott E. Plaster, MD is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstruction. Born and raised in Tulsa, Dr. Plaster returned home after completing his training to care for patients in the community where he grew up.

Dr. Plaster earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of New Mexico, where he participated in research and academic publications. He then completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a focus on robotics, direct anterior hip replacements, and revision hip and knee replacement.

He performs contemporary surgical approaches, including direct anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, and complex revision procedures. His approach emphasizes careful surgical planning, evidence-based decision-making, and helping patients return to function safely and reliably.

Dr. Plaster comes from a family dedicated to orthopedic care. His father, Dr. Rodney Plaster, has been performing joint replacements in Tulsa since 1989. Continuing that tradition, Dr. Plaster is committed to serving the Tulsa community with steady, patient-centered care.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children.
